Taunusturm, Frankfurt am Main

Situated at the heart of Frankfurt am Main, the TaunusTurm project consists of a 40-storey, 170 m office tower, a 7-storey, 31 m podium building, an 18-storey, 68 m residential tower, an underground car park and outside areas. The head of the building above the 37th floor has two inclined sections. The office tower is accessed via a 3-storey lobby. The core areas from the 3rd floor upwards use the in-situ concrete method. The columns, slabs and beams are precast in reinforced concrete. The head of the building above the 37th floor is a pure steel structure. The curtain wall facades of the office tower from the 3rd floor have aluminum, glass and natural stone elements. The TaunusTurm achieved LEED Platinum certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). The project was developed in a partnership model within a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) agreement

KVL was commissioned to deliver project / contract management services and support project management decision-making. This included:

  • Time-critical decision making regarding organisation, quality, costs, deadlines, agreements and insurances.
  • Preparing and coordinating all agreements as well as documentation and archiving.
  • Imposing necessary measures and closing contracts.
  • Participating in project-related, contractually binding negotiations
  • Participating in official and contractual acceptance procedures.
  • Acting as central point of call for the project.
  • Preparaing project reports and special reports for client and other committees, e.g. the financing bank.
  • Client coordination for the residential tower.
