Despite a very tight planning and execution schedule the mobile classrooms at Lohsepark were handed over to the school authorities on time and within budget. In addition to building the school campus, explosive ordnance clearance and a 1.5m backfill had to be carried out for the entire site.
A total of five container facilities with different functions were built: Campus HafenCity, Baakenhafen elementary school, subject-specific rooms, administration and canteen. In addition, a large playground offering the children the opportunity to interact was created within the school campus.
School furniture and equipment was being moved in before work on the containers and outside facilities was completed. This required close coordination with school management and timing of deliveries to avoid any potential disruptions.
KVL was commissioned to provide basic control and management services for this project in accordance with AHO, but also took on additional services during the project in order to safeguard its successful conclusion.
