Conversion of existing building and new build of a luxury hotel with modern office space

In September 2016 KVL Bauconsult München GmbH was commissioned by the investor to support conversion work on the listed parcel distribution centre.

A five-star-plus luxury hotel is to be built: part conversion in the existing building, part new build. A section of the historic building is being converted into modern office space.

KVL dealt with reorganising the international planning team and engaging the services of a renowned firm of architects in Munich. This laid the  groundwork to obtaining approvable planning solutions to the architectural and technical challenges involved in conversion and new build.

Experts from the core team of those involved in the planning process were in constant touch with the authorities throughout the planning process to make sure that the project objectives were met.

Key planning parameters have been defined in the ongoing pre-planning phase in collaboration with the future user, an international hotel group. This ensures cost and schedule targets as well as quality standards will be met as the project proceeds.
