CFEL - Center for Free-Electron Laser Science

The Center of Free-Electron Laser Science is a joint enterprise between the Max-Planck Society DESY and the University of Hamburg to advance science with next generation light sources and lasers. The CFEL comprises a round, three-storey office building with open spaces located above the actual laboratories. The experimental areas are located separately.

For this project, KVL provided the project management services in action area E according to AHO. This included controlling the design process and the conclusion, updating and execution of agreements to safeguard project delivery. Intense scrutiny of the contracts meant supplementary claims by the contractors could be reduced considerably.
